Final Magazine

I have finally done my magazine and it is ready to be introduced to everyone. I am pretty satisfied with my magazine and I think I have used many skills on InDesign.

The front cover features my friend where I asked him to give me some professional pictures that I can use for my magazine and he took these to give on towards me. It has a bar code which I got from Google and has a price tagging on the top right costing 399 Pakistani rupees. I decided to choose bright colors which attract people to be most likely to read it. It also has an attractive name “SkyLine Fashion”.

The double spread page has the same theme color as the back cover and the contents page. The double spread page is about street fashion featuring the pictures taken in London and Frankfurt at a class trip.

The back cover talks about the magazine and what SkyLine offers to their customers. I also put in  the same bar code as the one on the front cover. Also there is a fair-trade

Getting started with InDesign

Here I am designing the logo of my magazine where I am choosing colours and coordinating them on the box on the right hand side. I can choose if it should be darker or lighter by moving the cursor to the right or left.

Here I am choosing what type of font I want to have for the writing on the font cover. I can make it look more funky or more metallic depending on what looks more attractive.

Magazine-Photos introduced

My magazine is about fashion and it is called SkyLine Fashion. Each of us have got individual topics and therefore I chose to do Fashion.

I asked my friend for a professional picture which i can use for my magazine and he came up with this.

These are 4 images that I will use in my magazine. The first two feature my friend that I have asked for professional pictures. The other two, I have taken out from a class trip to London and Frankfurt that feature me posing in the first pic at a London (England) bus station and the last in Frankfurt city (Germany).

 

Research on my Magazine

I have started researching magazines from the local shops and on the internet how they are structured and what the main themes of a magazine are. I have looked up how a double spread page is done and how the colour combinations are used.
